Plainfield North student wins IHSA state championship for sports writing

Plainfield North High School senior Dylan Budd has been named the 2024 Illinois High School Association (IHSA) journalism sports writing champion. Budd secured first place in the Sports Writing category at the IHSA state journalism competition, which took place on April 26, 2024, at Heartland Community College. He also participated in Review Writing.

Senior honors night celebrates student achievements

Congratulations were extended to seniors who received awards, local scholarships, or special achievements during the recent Senior Honors Night.

District 202 hosts inaugural Empowered Women's Conference for high school students

About 40 female students from District 202 high schools participated in the first Empowered Women’s Conference on March 18. The event was organized by Plainfield East High School seniors Valery Espinoza, Brianna Emond, and Aadya Karna.

District 202 students have the opportunity to register for the Illinois state Seal of Biliteracy test starting Monday, February 12, 2024. This initiative allows students to earn a certification that acknowledges their proficiency in multiple languages.
