District 202 has shown progress in the Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR) for Language Arts, according to the latest Illinois Report Card released by the Illinois State Board of Education.
Sixty high school musicians from District 202 have been selected to participate in the Illinois Music Educators Association (ILMEA) District 9 jazz, choir, band, and orchestra festivals this November.
District 202 high schools are preparing for their fall theatrical productions, set to feature a range of genres including comedy, mystery, and parody. The performances will take place in November across the district's four high school auditoriums.
Parent-Teacher Conferences at Plainfield East High School are set for Friday, November 1st from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm and Monday, November 4th from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The sign-up process for these conferences begins on Monday, October 21.

About 40 female students from District 202 high schools participated in the first Empowered Women’s Conference on March 18. The event was organized by Plainfield East High School seniors Valery Espinoza, Brianna Emond, and Aadya Karna.
