The Plainfield Seed Library has opened its doors to gardening enthusiasts, offering a variety of seeds for vegetables, flowers, herbs, and native plants. Located in the Upper Level Lobby by the elevator, the library provides free access to seeds on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. The availability of different seed varieties will change throughout the season.
The Plainfield Area Public Library is now offering 3D printing services to its patrons. This service aims to introduce users to additive manufacturing technology, providing a hobby-level experience. The library states, "We will do our best to accommodate your requests, but we cannot guarantee a particular level of precision."
After 26 years, the Plainfield Area Public Library is undergoing a significant renovation. The project is expected to take about a year to complete. The library aims to refresh its facilities with new furniture, carpet, and paint.
