Plainfield North High School has scheduled its annual Curriculum Night for Thursday, August 21. The event will begin at 6:00 p.m. and is designed to give parents an overview of their students’ classes and academic expectations for the year.

The evening will start with specialized sessions running from 6:00 to 6:25 p.m. Parents of students enrolled in Driver Education can attend an introduction in the auditorium. At the same time, parents whose children are taking Early Bird PE will meet in the gym, while senior parents interested in learning about the college application process can go to the media center.

Following these introductory meetings, parents are invited to visit their student’s classes according to a set schedule that mirrors a typical school day. Each period lasts ten minutes, starting with Period 1 at 6:30 p.m., and ending with Period 8 at 8:25 p.m.

Plainfield North High School serves grades nine through twelve and had an enrollment of 2,309 during the 2019-2020 school year, according to data from the Illinois Report Card (https://www.illinoisreportcard.com/). Of these students, grade nine had the highest percentage at 26.4 percent (https://www.illinoisreportcard.com/School.aspx?schoolid=560992020220003), followed by tenth graders at 25.6 percent (https://www.illinoisreportcard.com/School.aspx?schoolid=560992020220003), seniors at 24.9 percent (https://www.illinoisreportcard.com/School.aspx?schoolid=560992020220003), and juniors at 23 percent (https://www.illinoisreportcard.com/School.aspx?schoolid=560992020220003).
