District 202 graduates earn state endorsements for college and career pathways

Fifty-eight students from District 202's class of 2025 have been awarded the Illinois State Board of Education College and Career Pathway Endorsement. This endorsement is added to their diplomas and transcripts, recognizing their efforts in completing individualized learning plans, career-focused instructional sequences, and professional learning opportunities.

The endorsements cover five key areas: Health Sciences and Technology; Human and Public Service; Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources; Manufacturing, Engineering, Technology and Trades. The students hail from four high schools within the district: Plainfield High School-Central Campus, Plainfield South High School, Plainfield North High School, and Plainfield East High School.

At Plainfield High School-Central Campus, students like Jacilia Castillo and Camila Herrera focused on Health Sciences and Technology with a CNA concentration. Meanwhile, Emma Ojeda pursued Human and Public Service in Early Childhood education.

Plainfield South High School had a diverse group with Allison Aribeana concentrating on Health Sciences as a CNA and Thomas Banting focusing on Welding II under Manufacturing, Engineering, Technology and Trades. Christina D’Amico delved into Culinary II under Agriculture.

Students at Plainfield North High School such as Mya Broadway received endorsements in Health Sciences as CNAs. Ariana Price took a path in Human and Public Service with an emphasis on Early Childhood.

Plainfield East High School saw students like Meranda Abante concentrate on Health Sciences as CNAs while Maksim Ballon explored Welding II in Manufacturing.

These achievements highlight the varied paths District 202 graduates are pursuing through these educational programs.
