District 202 community members are invited to nominate individuals for the 2025 C.A.P.E. Community Award. This award acknowledges exceptional dedication to District 202 schools and service to the wider community. Established in 1983, it is distinct from other individual C.A.P.E. Awards given within each school.
C.A.P.E., which stands for Coordination of Administration and Parent groups for Educational efficiency, consists of parents and district administrators from all District 202 parent organizations. The group acts as a resource and communication channel between parent groups and district administration.
Nominations can be submitted through an online form available at: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScAcxQbKIIz5ZSq52rQg5ROs8gkewu5-7lbIz_fS2f_-iJVaA/viewform. The deadline for submissions is March 14, 2025, and past winners are not eligible for renomination.
The recipient of the 2025 C.A.P.E. Community Award will be announced during the 49th Annual C.A.P.E. Award Reception and Ceremony on April 15, 2025, at Plainfield North High School.
C.A.P.E.'s mission includes recognizing parents, community members, teachers, and staff who demonstrate commitment to students and their communities since its founding.
