The District 202 Board of Education is currently accepting nominations for its 33rd Annual Awards of Excellence. This award recognizes teachers and non-administrative staff who have made exceptional contributions to students and the district.
Nominations are open to students, staff, parents, and community members. Interested individuals can submit their nominations online or download a paper form from the district's website at https://www.psd202.org/page/awards-of-excellence. It is important to note that past nominees and recipients are eligible for renomination.
All nominations must be submitted by 5 p.m. on Monday, February 10, 2025. The deadline will not be extended.
An awards ceremony is scheduled for Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at Plainfield High School-Central Campus located at 24120 W. Fort Beggs Drive in Plainfield. The event will begin at 7 p.m.
A committee from the Board of Education will review all submissions to determine this year's awardees. Since the inception of the Awards of Excellence, over 500 teachers and staff have been honored by the board.
