District 202 seniors receive College Board national recognition

Ross Draper Principal | Plainfield North High School

One hundred seniors from District 202 high schools have been recognized as scholars in the 2024-2025 College Board National Recognition Programs. These programs honor students for their outstanding academic achievements across all 50 states and U.S. territories.

The recognition is part of five programs: the National African American Recognition Program, National Hispanic Recognition Program, National Indigenous Recognition Program, National Rural and Small Town Recognition Program, and the newly introduced National First-Generation Recognition Program.

To qualify for these honors, students must maintain a GPA of B+ or higher and achieve PSAT/NMSQT or PSAT 10 scores within the top 10 percent in their state or score 3 or higher on two AP Exams by the end of their sophomore year. Additionally, they must attend school in a rural area or small town or identify as African American/Black, Hispanic American/Latino, Indigenous/Native American, or a first-generation college student.

These recognitions do not include scholarships but highlight the academic excellence of these students.
