Indian Trail Middle School Education: 88 Black students were enrolled in 2022-23 school year

There were 88 Black students enrolled in Indian Trail Middle School in the 2022-23 school year, 10% more than the previous year, according to the Illinois State Board of Education report.

Data showed that the school welcomed 574 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, Black students comprised 15.3% of the student body to be the third most represented ethnicity in the school.

The school is located in Plainfield School District 202 with a central office in Plainfield.

Among the 28 schools in Plainfield School District 202, Plainfield South High School recorded the highest enrollment of Black students in the 2022-23 school year, with a total of 2,347 students.

Illinois registered one of the largest enrollment drops during the pandemic. Since 2020, the Prarie State lost nearly 118,000 students, further intensifying a decline trend established since 2013.
