Central Elementary School Education: 53 Black students were enrolled in 2022-23 school year

There were 53 Black students enrolled in Central Elementary School in the 2022-23 school year, 12.8% more than the previous year, according to the Illinois State Board of Education report.

Data showed that the school welcomed 511 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, Black students comprised 10.4% of the student body to be the third most represented ethnicity in the school.

Among the 28 schools in Plainfield School District 202, Plainfield South High School recorded the highest enrollment of Black students in the 2022-23 school year, with a total of 2,347 students.
