Sharon Bockholdt, Esteemed Community Member and Volunteer Coordinator, Passed Away at 67

Plainfield - Sharon Bockholdt, known for her dedication as the Volunteer Coordinator at the Sr. Service Center of Will County, passed away on October 19, 2024. Born in Denver, Colorado, and raised in Iowa, Sharon spent her adult life in Lockport, Illinois, where she served as a cherished member of the community.

Sharon is survived by her children, Brett Dobesh and Bradley Bockholdt, her beloved grandchildren, and her siblings, John and Steven Kraklio. She was preceded in death by her sister, Vickie Kraklio, and her parents, John and Elizabeth Kraklio.

A private interment will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Joliet, Illinois. A Celebration of Life for Sharon will be hosted on Thursday, October 24, 2024, from 3 PM to 8 PM at Anderson Memorial Home in Plainfield, with the funeral service commencing at 5 PM.

Sharon Bockholdt will be remembered as a loving civil servant, dedicated to community service and caring for her family. Her final words, "Say your Prayers," exemplify her compassion and kindness. Donations in her honor can be made to the Lockport Woman's Club.

Sharon's legacy of service and love will continue to impact the community she held dear.
