Sam Amponsah records 2 tackles in McKendree’s loss to Western Illinois

On Saturday, September 28, Sam Amponsah, a former standout Plainfield East High School athlete, saw action in the McKendree Bearcats’ 49-to-32 loss to the Western Illinois Leathernecks.

Amponsah is a 6’0’ 250-pound Redshirt graduate student and defensive end.

He recorded two tackles, helping the McKendree Bearcats struggle against the Western Illinois Leathernecks offense.

McKendree’s football team is a NCAA DII team that plays in the Great Lakes Valley Conference.
